An internship at The Network/La Red can complement and enhance your skills and looks great on a resume. Not only does an intern gain experience working on a project, but also gains the knowledge of working in a small non-profit. All internships are unpaid.

Internships with TNLR Training

Interns interested in working with survivors, conducting community trainings, and or doing outreach will go through our comprehensive 60+ hour training. Applications are accepted year-round however interviews are held in August and September for the Fall Training and in January and February for the spring training.

What can an intern with TNLR Training do?

  • Cover hotline providing support, crisis intervention, information, and safety planning
  • Legal advocacy
  • Research and maintain records
  • Conduct community trainings
  • Attend solidarity events on TNLR’s behalf
  • Provide one-on-one support to survivors
  • Do outreach at events
  • Learn more about the inner workings of a non-profit
  • Advertising & Multimedia Design
    • Create new print ads, brochures, flyers, and handouts
    • Maintain & update website
    • Layout, design, editing, and proofreading of newsletter & website
    • Research costs of advertising
  • Special projects (Planned on a student by student basis)


Internships without TNLR Training:

What can an intern who doesn’t attend TNLR training do?

  • Advertising & Multimedia Design
    • Create new print ads, brochures, flyers, and handouts
    • Maintain & update website
    • Layout, design, editing, and proofreading of newsletter & website
    • Research costs of advertising
  • Special Projects (Planned on a student by student basis)
