Our second event of the Survival and Resistance: Power with Survivors, Power for Communities campaign, WE ARE: Survival and Resistancelaunched the visuals designed by talented artist, Rommy Sobrado-Torrico. The evening was filled with delicious Brazilian food from Oasis, good vibes, a moving speech by Boricua lawyer and activist Jasmine Gomez, and supportive community. There are two visuals: one is informational and demonstrates the relationship between partner abuse and oppression. The other is an inspirational poster designed specifically for the campaign. Special thanks to HBGC and Jane Doe, Inc., for their sponsorship and support. Check out some photos from WE ARE: Survival and Resistance and like our facebook page to stay updated on our future events.

Every year in the fall, TNLR takes an afternoon to celebrate the accomplishments of our board, staff, volunteers, and community organizations with an award ceremony and lunch we like to call the Thank You Lunch. This year the lunch was held at the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry and we honored DiDi Delgado with our Luminary Award and Boston GLASS with our Visionary Award. Check out more photos from the event here!

The first event as part of The Network/La Red’s campaign Survival and Resistance: Power with Survivors, Power for Communities, Wild Tongues: Stories for Ourselves reclaimed power by highlighting the experiences of survivors of partner abuse and/or oppression with poetry, music, photography, and art. Check out some photos from Wild Tongues here!

Every Spring, The Network/La Red holds its annual fundraiser, Paint the Town (La) Red: A Celebration of Survival and every Spring, we have the opportunity to enjoy music, delicious food, and amazing performances with our community. This year, #PTTLR2017 was on April 20 at China Pearl and turned out to be one of our most successful fundraisers yet. Thanks to all of our supporters, donors, and volunteers for their time, talents, and resources. #PTTLR2018 is just around the corner now and will be held on April 19 at the China Pearl again!
